Chocolate Covered Strawberry Protein Smoothie

Decadent, creamy and oh-so chocolatey, this Chocolate Covered Strawberry Protein Smoothie takes your protein shake to a whole new level of good. With the velvety, thick texture of a milkshake, this protein smoothie could easily be mistaken for dessert, but it’s surprisingly nutritious plant-based ingredients make this smoothie completely suitable for a clean eating lifestyle.

This looks like the most incredible breakfast! I really want to try it, but I don’t typically keep protein powder in the house. Do you think a banana would sub in ok?

I think a banana would be fine. Maybe add in a little pure vanilla extract with it. Let me know if it works out!

I am a big fan of coconut milk (coconut anything actually) and I can tell by the looks of this smoothie that it is going to taste delicious. So glad you added fruit to the mix and made it into a wholesome protein drink.

    Yum! Thanks for sharing, Danielle.
I like the added protein. That’s what I usually do, too.

Hi Miki! The calories in this depend on the type of protein powder you use. With mine, it comes in at just under 400, but you can lower the calories significantly by using only 1/4 to 1/2 of an avocado, and unsweetened almond milk in place of coconut milk.
