I’m Back…And Married! UPDATED

I’m Back…And Married!

It has been a busy, beautiful, exciting and adventurous past two weeks, but as of today I am back to real life, and I have to say, it’s a little bittersweet.

If you frequent my blog, you probably are aware that I got married a little over 10 days ago, and it was truly everything I could have dreamed of and more. I got to marry my best friend, Ben, who I have been with for the past 9 years, and be surrounded by family and friends that mean the world to me while doing so. Our wedding took place in gorgeous Hailey, Idaho (which is right outside of Sun Valley, Idaho) at a private residence appropriately titled ‘The Homestead,’ which was truly breathtaking in every sense of the word.

On top of having an already beautiful venue, we were blessed with incredible weather the entire time we were there, which, if you know anything about mountain weather, that isn’t always the case, so I am inclined to believe that we had luck on our side 😉

While I don’t have all of the professional pics to share with you yet, here is a few that I do have to give you a little glimpse..

My Wedding Day

It was honestly such an incredible day, and we are so blessed to have the family and friends that we have as a support system. We truly can’t thank them enough for all that they have done for us, but we will continue to express our gratitude to them, and hopefully have the opportunity to pay it forward in the future to each and every one of them.

After what seemed like an already fantastic vacation for our wedding, we jetted off on our honeymoon to the gorgeous island of Maui, and rather than me telling you how gorgeous it was, I’ll let the pictures do the talking for me…

The view from our room…

And the beaches….ahh, the beaches….

I’ll be totally honest here and say that the sights weren’t the only thing we indulged in on our trip to Maui. I indulged in some delicious food, and even a few cocktails here and there, because, hey, when in Maui, amirite? That’s what vacations are all about.

One of those indulgences included this delicious sushi from Morimoto Maui, which I highly recommend if you get the chance to go.

I am a little bummed out that I didn’t get pictures of all of the other fantastic meals we had while we were there, because we had some epic dinners that should have been immortalized in pictures.

One of the best dining finds that we came across in Maui was an Italian restaurant named Matteo’s Osteria. Matteo’s boasts not only the largest wine collection in Maui, but they also have an incredible variety of gluten free, vegan and dairy free dishes, which upon hearing, was basically like a choir of angels singing in my ears. Gluten free Italian is one thing, but an Italian restaurant with gluten free, vegan and dairy free options is so rare, it’s practically unheard of. This place is no hole in the wall dive either. The food here is fantastic and the prices are extremely reasonable given the quality. If you ever happen to find yourself in Maui, Matteo’s is a must, and if you do, you have to try the Raw Superfood Chocolate Mousse. To. Die. For. I am recreating my own version as we speak, so stay tuned, because that recipe should be up within the next day or two.

Hopefully you haven’t all jumped ship on me yet! While the past few weeks have been dicey, my number one focus now is growing this blog on a full time basis, so stay tuned. I’ll be bringing you constant updates on all aspects of living a lean and clean life, along with even the occasional indulgences we all like to have :)

Congratulations! How very exciting, and all the photos look gorgeous, your dress is so beautiful. Blessings to you and your new husband, those restaurants sound so great, it is nice to find something like that while you’re already enjoying your time so much.
