As I am sitting here on this cold January day, I can’t help but reflect back on how truly wonderful this past year has been for my family. In July, I married my best friend, and in October we found out that our family would be growing to a family of three. That’s right, I’m pregnant!
I have been beyond anxious to finally share this news with you all, and now that it is out in the open, I can’t tell you what a huge sense of relief it is! My husband Ben and I are absolutely over the moon about becoming parents, and couldn’t be more excited about this life changing journey we’re about to take. As of today, I am 14 weeks and two days along, and our little peanut is due July 1st.
Regardless of my ever growing belly, part of me still can’t believe that there is actually a baby growing in there, but every ultrasound I am reminded just how real it all actually is. Seeing our babies little arms and legs wiggling around is just the most unbelievable sight I have ever seen. I didn’t think it was possible to be so in love with someone that I’ve never met, but boy, was I wrong.
With this baby bringing so many changes to my life, I have decided to start a section of this blog dedicated to all things baby for those who would like to follow along. I plan on covering everything from pregnancy and beyond from my personal experience, and eventually healthy baby foods as well.
In the meantime, I am still here! My first trimester kept me from being in the kitchen as much as I would have liked, but I am back and ready to crank out some deliciously healthy recipes!
I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season, and I am excited to share this new journey of my life with you.
Happy New Year everyone!! May 2015 be your best year yet!
